I’ve always been super interested in photography, but kind of figured that there was some sort of mystical and magical process to getting the sort of fabulous slices of life that professional photographers created. I just didn’t think it was something that I could learn! It wasn’t until we were on our adoption journey that I began to think very seriously about REALLY learning about photography and buying one of those DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflux) camera that had always seemed so out of reach. I wanted to be able to take truly great photos of our trip to Ethiopia. We probably won’t be able to take our whole family back to Ethiopia for a bunch of years, so I wanted our son to at least have my pictures to keep him connected with his homeland.
So that brings us to the present! I’ve been so blessed by this journey (both adoptive and photographic) and am so appreciative that I’m able to share it with you! I hope to capture your family just as they are.
