New Holiday Mini-Sessions | Urban and Beach Family Photographer

Urban and Beach Photographer

Hey all.  I’m so excited to announce my first Holiday Mini-Sessions!  Just in time to get those holiday cards made and sent out with a recent photo of your gorgeous family.  =)

You have two times of day (morning and late afternoon), two weekends (October 23/24 and November 6/7) and two settings (urban and beach) to choose from, so there’s something for everyone!  There are only a very limited number of sessions available, so please be sure to book as soon as possible to secure your session.  Here’s the breakdown of the sessions:

  • Saturday, October 23rd – Urban session in Olde Towne, Portsmouth – 8am, 8:30am, 9am, 9:30am for the morning sessions and 3pm, 3:30pm, 4pm, 4:30pm, 5pm for the late afternoon sessions
  • Sunday, October 24th – Beach session in Norfolk or Virginia Beach (TBD…let me know if you have a preference!) – 4pm, 4:30pm, 5pm for the late afternoon sessions
  • Saturday, November 6th – Urban session in Olde Towne, Portsmouth – 8am, 8:30am, 9am, 9:30am for the morning sessions and 3pm, 3:30pm, 4pm, 4:30pm, 5pm for the late afternoon sessions
  • Sunday, November 7th – Beach session in Norfolk or Virginia Beach (TBD…let me know if you have a preference!) – 4pm, 4:30pm, 5pm for the late afternoon sessions

Each session includes 20 minutes of shooting time, 8+ proofs in a private, online gallery to choose from and either 24 custom holiday cards or 1 low-resolution image (printable up to 5×7) for making your own holiday card.  Upgrade to your package to include 24 holiday cards AND 1-3 medium-resolution images (printable up to 8×10).  Add-ons are also available, including additional holiday cards, beautiful pocket-sized accordion albums (perfect brag books for grandparents!), gift prints (8×10 and smaller) and gorgeous mounted prints, ready to frame or display on easels.

Many of you know that our family is adopting a little boy from Ethiopia.  Our case has been submitted to court in Ethiopia and we’re just waiting to hear when our court date will be.  We’re hoping for a December or January court date, so fingers crossed!  We have to travel for court, so we’ll be meeting our little guy for the first time in just a matter of weeks!  ALL of the profits from these sessions will go directly to our travel fund.  Our travel costs will be substantial as both Stephen and I have to travel for the court trip and we’re hoping to bring Eliza with us for the visa/pick-up trip a few weeks after court.  With round-trip airfare being $1200-1900 per person (depending on the time of year), it adds up VERY quickly!

To book your session, just go to http://leilawylie.bookmonline.com, select your preferred package, date and time.  You’ll then be prompted for your contact info.  After that’s all filled out, you can choose to pay your session fee online via PayPal (you do NOT need a PayPal account to pay via PayPal), you can mail a check or you can call me with your credit card number.  Whatever works best for you!

Of course, full sessions are always available as well.  If you’re thinking about a mini-session and think you’d like to go with a full session instead (1-2 hours of shooting), I’d be happy to offer you some special deals on holiday cards, accordion albums and medium-resolution images.

Please let me know if you have any questions at all.  I’m here to help!  I can’t wait to see y’all.  =)

Transitions (Extended Edition) | Olde Towne Portsmouth Family Photography

Here’s another family session that I can’t believe I haven’t posted yet!  This one’s only from August, so a little more recent.  =)

This session was special because Mom was getting ready to move to Alaska for a year for work.  With J entering his junior year of high school and S entering her sophomore year of college (and her first apartment!), this is truly a year of transitions for the family!  I hope these photos help to keep the family love close in their hearts, even as many miles separate them.

Beach Day (Extended Edition) | Virginia Beach Family Photography

I just realized that even though our session was back in July, I’d never posted the extended P family session!

It’s hard to believe that the P family was my first family session ever!  It was such a great time for me.  The day was absolutely perfect.  Warm, but not stifling hot, like July in Virginia can often be.  The sky was a beautiful, crystal blue.  Some teens had built up the neatest driftwood “hut”, which we decided to use for the main backdrop of the session.

The P family was a bunch of fun to capture together as well.  They are the biggest bunch of jokesters!  There was ALWAYS laughing and kidding and fun during every minute of the session.  I was so happy to get some pictures of just the Mr and Mrs as Mr was getting ready to head to San Diego for a while and will be deploying for a long deployment in not too long.  These pictures will hopefully keep home in his heart while he’s gone.

Take two! (Sneak Peek) | Olde Towne, Portsmouth VA Family Photographer

I had the opportunity to take a few more pictures of the C children, which was a ton of fun!  So we get another sneak peek!  Yay!

Look into our eyes (Sneak Peek) | Olde Towne, Portsmouth VA Family Photographer

I usually only post one sneak peek, but with two kids this gorgeous, how could I not post two?  Check out Mr. F’s eyes….aren’t they amazing?!  And I didn’t even do anything special to them in post processing.  They just look like this!  Crazy beautiful.

And look at Miss S’s hair and that soulful look….she’s destined to be a supermodel.
