I posted a few days ago about my first wedding as a second shooter. Today, I’m excited to share my second! Again, I’ve been so lucky and was able to second shoot for one of my favorite photographers of all time, Ginger Curry of 422 Studio. I’ve known Ginger since my Eliza and her Viv were just weeks old. We met via a Richmond punk parents’ play group. =) Now our girls are two little divas and Ginger’s rocking wedding/boudoir/pin-up/family photography in Richmond and I’m doing much the same down here in Hampton Roads. I miss going roller skating with Ginger and wish Stephen and I hadn’t moved when our girls were so little as they’d hopefully be little besties. Still, it was great to hang out with Ginger while we worked!
K+G’s wedding was AMAZING! It was a truly elegant and beautiful affair. The black, red and white theme was RIGHT up my alley! Half of my house is black, white and red. =) There’s nothing I love better than a hot pair of red shoes, so I was totally in love with all of the beautiful red heels worn by the bridesmaids. The groomsmen were looking quite dapper themselves, but my favorite part of the whole wedding was when the bride and groom changed into their bright red Chucks for the reception. Love!! Wait, I take that back. My ABSOLUTE favorite part of the wedding was the bride’s interpretive dance to Meatloaf’s I Would Do Anything for Love. I truly hope the dance is living somewhere on YouTube right now. It was THAT good. Honestly. You’ve never seen anything like it and I mean that in a really good way! That K can seriously dance!
Thanks so much for allowing me to be part of your day, K+G, and thanks for the opportunity, Ginger! It was so nice to get to chat during our few down minutes. =)
